Re:     SCAC President Roy Costner, III Will Meet with Tri-County Region Leaders on January 25 

Bamberg, South Carolina (January 2023) – On January 25, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Barnwell County Council Chambers, South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) President Roy Costner, III will meet with elected officials and county administrators from Allendale, Bamberg, and Barnwell Counties. Costner was elected 2023-24 SCAC President during the Association’s annual conference last August and has been conducting similar informational meetings in counties across the state.

President Costner is also Vice Chairman for Pickens County Council and represents District 4 in Liberty, SC. Additionally, he serves as Spectrum Reach’s Business Development Manager, Vice Chairman of the SC Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame, and executive committee member of Upstate Alliance.

The meeting will consist of a meet and greet period, a presentation from Costner, and a Q&A session. After his election as SCAC President, Costner said he wanted “to find out about each county’s challenges and opportunities” and hoped to “learn from each other.” Elected and appointed officials are encouraged to attend and participate on behalf of their respective constituents.

Bamberg County Administrator Joey Preston said he is appreciative of President Costner’s visit and looks forward to further partnering with him and SCAC.
