Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Preparing, processing, and maintaining legal records
Processing payments received, depositing funds, issuing receipts, logging payments in the system
Reviewing documents to determine if further action is required by the Clerk’s Office and executing said action
Case management program entry, scanning, filing, copying
Processing judicial orders and assistance during court hearings
Must have the ability to learn the State’s data system
Assist with circuit courts when needed

Bamberg County Assessor Department
Bamberg County is seeking a full-time Appraiser I to assist the County Assessor in overseeing appraisal of real property for tax assessment purposes. Reports to the County Assessor.
• Appraises rural, residential and commercial property noting topography of land, street improvements, utilities, accessibility to transportation, and physical condition of structures.
• Measures buildings and prepares scaled drawings indicating all related information.
• Researches recent sales information to determine asking and sales prices in area.
• Talks to property owners as to type, age, and use of buildings found on land.
• Determines fair market values according to various formulas along with other information.
• Provides information to the public and answers inquiries regarding assessments.
Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, and 0-5 years’ experience in real property appraisal, construction, real estate, or related work.
The person hired must possess a valid state driver’s license. Comprehensive knowledge of methods and practices of property appraising. Thorough knowledge of basic materials and methods used in residential and commercial building construction. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial and residential real estate land values. Ability to make arithmetical computations with speed and accuracy.
Pay Grade: 18 ($26,219.00 - $39,328.00)
VOTER REGISTRATION/ELECTION DIRECTOR
Bamberg County Department of Voter Registration /Elections
Bamberg County is seeking a VOTER REGISTRATION/ELECTION DIRECTOR.Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or an associate degree in business or other related field preferred and five (5) years' experience in election and voter registration activities. The Voter Registration/Election Director, organizes and manages County voter registration procedures following current election laws. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all citizens registered to vote in Bamberg County. Manages office operations and formulates department policies and procedures with the assistance of a Board. The person hired will be responsible for registering qualified County citizens to vote in primary and general elections according to precincts and district lines. Complete and supply voter registration cards. Handle absentee voter applications and procedures. Issue and secure absentee ballots. Keep abreast of current election laws and procedures. Plan and conduct Voter Registration Board meetings as necessary. Interact and communicate with County Administrator and other County employees, Board members, the general public, State Election Commission personnel, elected officials, municipal employees, news media, poll workers, etc. Applications and resumes will be will be accepted until position is filled.

L.A.D. SITE OPERATOR (part-time)

Qualified applicants must possess a valid S.C. Driver’s License, and a pre-medical examination is required for employment. The person hired must be able to assists and instruct the public in the proper disposal of waste and recyclable materials at the designated areas.
Addressing Technician/Communications Coordinator

Bamberg County is seeking an Addressing Technician/Communications Coordinator. Qualified applicants must possess a 2-year degree or graduate from high school or GED equivalent with college coursework including surveying, drafting, Geographic Information System or computer-related courses. Experience in performing general office duties; involving property descriptions, maintain addressing GIS layer; and dealing with the general public in a customer service aspect. Computer experience including; installation/ setup and software installation and updates/configuration skills. The person hired will be responsible for issuing all-new E911 addresses, making and installing all E911 Street signs, and replacing all missing and damaged street signs. Manage & Coordinate all communications equipment. The candidate must have the ability to work with other agencies and the public regarding addressing issues. Individuals must possess a valid S.C. Driver’s License.
Pay Grade 10: Minimum $21,071 – Maximum $31,606

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/TRUCK DRIVER (Full-Time)
Bamberg County Public Works Department Applications are being accepted in the Human Resources/Payroll Office, Bamberg County Courthouse ANNEX – Isaiah Odom Building, for the position of Heavy Equipment Operator (TRUCK DRIVER) (full-time) with the Bamberg County Public Works Department. The applicants must have a valid driver’s license. A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The person hired will be required to demonstrate proficiency in operating a variety of road construction and maintenance equipment, properly grade roads with a motor grader, push dirt, and clear right-of-ways for pipe and ditches.
