Bamberg, South Carolina (March 2024) – Collaborating to Make a Meaningful Difference

In the aftermath of the destructive category EF-2 tornado that swept through Bamberg, Keep Bamberg County Beautiful (KBCB) announces its unwavering commitment to restoring the region’s natural beauty and aiding in the recovery process. As a result, KBCB is hosting a second post-tornado cleanup event in Denmark on March 30th, 2024. This community-wide effort aims to preserve the natural beauty of Bamberg County and its surrounding areas while fostering a sense of civic pride and environmental stewardship among residents.

The cleanup event, organized by KBCB in collaboration with local organizations, will meet on Saturday, March 30th, at 9 am in the Denmark City Hall parking lot. Local volunteers, including those from neighboring counties, will gather to remove litter and debris from Locust Avenue, Lagare Street, and Brooker Street in Denmark.

Distinguished attendees include Bamberg County Councilmember Dr. Jonathan Goodman and Denmark City Councilmember Mr. Calvin Odom. Their presence will underscore the importance of community engagement and collaboration to preserve our county's natural beauty while promoting environmental sustainability.

“We are thrilled to have the support and participation of Councilmen Dr. Jonathan Goodman and Mr. Calvin Odom at our Denmark cleanup event,” said Alisha Moore, KBCB Program Director. “Their leadership and dedication to our community inspire us all as we come together to impact our environment positively.”

KBCB encourages residents of all ages to join in this meaningful initiative. By working together, we can create a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant Bamberg County for generations to come.
