Early Voting Now In Effect for June Primaries

 

COLUMBIA, SC (May 13, 2022) – Governor McMaster today signed into law legislation passed by the General Assembly that establishes early voting in South Carolina.  

 

Early Voting 

In-person absentee voting has now been replaced with a two-week early voting period. Any voter can visit an early-voting location in their county and vote like they would at their polling place on Election Day.

 

Early Voting Centers Dates & Times:

Bamberg County Voter Registration Office1234 North Street, Bamberg, SC 29003. &  

Brooker Center, 19 Maple Ave Denmark, SC 

 

Tuesday May 31, 2022 – Friday June 10, 2022 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  Closed Saturday and Sunday June 4-5.

  • Early-voting for June Runoffs: 
    • Wednesday, June 22 – Friday, June 24.
    • Same hours and locations as Primaries.

 

Registered voters who cannot vote in person may be eligible to vote by absentee ballot. Absentee ballots may be obtained from the Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Bamberg County. Call 803-245-3028 or send an email to vote@bambergcounty.sc.gov to inquire about the availability of absentee ballots.  All ballots must be received by Bamberg County Election Commission no later than 7:00 PM on Election Day.
