Re:     Bamberg County Animal Control to Host Rabies and Microchip Clinic Tomorrow, April 13 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Bamberg Civic Center

Bamberg, South Carolina (April 2024)Bring your furry friends to the Bamberg Civic Center tomorrow from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for $5 rabies pet vaccinations and FREE pet microchips!

Bamberg County Animal Control is partnering with the City of Bamberg, SCDHEC, Bamberg Veterinary Clinic, and MAMAS Shelter to bring this service to Bamberg County citizens and their pets.  Rabies vaccinations are, of course, a fundamental part of animal and human health, and microchips allow pet owners to more efficiently locate displaced pets.

According to Bamberg County Director of Operations Bill Johnson, “169 animals have already been registered for the clinic, which is exciting.” However, it’s not too late to increase that number. Interested participants may pre-register by scanning the barcode on the attached flier.

Bamberg County Council Chairman Evert Comer, Jr. said, “Thanks to Bamberg County Animal Control and their collaborators for bringing this important service to our community. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and bring those beloved pets out to the Civic Center tomorrow.”
