Candidate Filing Deadline: Tomorrow, Friday, May 23, at Noon

The filing period for the upcoming Special Elections in Bamberg County concludes Friday, May 23, 2025, at NOON. These elections are scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

 

  • City of Denmark – At-Large City Council Seat

    • Candidates Filed: Charles Bailey and Larry Bias

  • City of Bamberg – City Council District 3 Seat

    • No candidates have filed as of now.

2024 Constitutional Amendment Question

COLUMBIA, SC (August 12, 2024) - The following constitutional amendment question will appear on all ballots in the November 5, 2024 General Election. Please read over the question so you will be familiar with it before casting your vote. 

Proposed Constitutional Amendment

Must Section 4, Article II of the Constitution of this State, relating to voter qualifications, be amended so as to provide that only a citizen of the United States and of this State of the age of eighteen and upwards who is properly registered is entitled to vote as provided by law?
