Aiken-Bamberg-Barnwell-Edgefield Regional Library

The Aiken-Bamberg-Barnwell-Edgefield Regional Library exists to provide materials which communicate experience and ideas from one person to another. Its goal is to assemble, organize, preserve, and make easily and feely available to all the residents of its service area the print and non-print materials that will assist them in their pursuit of education, information, research, culture and lifelong learning.  

 

Lower Savannah Council of Governments

To work with and on behalf of local governments to develop implement, and administer plans, programs, and projects in cooperation with local, state and national stakeholders, to improve the quality of life for residents in the Lower Savannah Region.

 

Lower Savannah Regional Housing Consortium

To foster regional partnerships between regional governmental, for profit and nonprofit entities, in order to increase capacity and access to affordable housing; to increase affordable housing stock free from discrimination in support of community and neighborhood development.   

 

Lower Savannah Workforce Development

The mission of the Lower Savannah Workforce Development Board is to provide workforce investment activities, through a local workforce investment one-stop delivery system, that increases the employment, retention, and earnings of participants, and increases occupational skill attainment by participants and, as a result, improve the quality of the workforce, reduce welfare dependency, and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the six county region.

 

Orangeburg-Calhoun-Allendale-Bamberg Community Action Agency, Inc. (OCAB)

To eliminate the causes and conditions of poverty in its four county service area by developing strategies to ensure a better quality of life for disadvantaged and underserved residents.  

 

Solicitor, Public Defender, and Probation & Parole

To uphold the laws of the State of South Carolina by prosecuting Criminal and Family Court cases as outlined by state statute and to ensure the rights of victims as mandated by the Victim Bill of Rights.

 

SouthernCarolina Regional Alliance

Through ideals of cooperation and regionalism, sustain and create jobs that will improve the quality of life in the counties of the SouthernCarolina Region.

 

Thoroughbred Country Regional Tourism Program

The mission of Thoroughbred Country is to collectively market the four-county region of Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg and Barnwell counties as a tourist destination and to support and encourage the development of local tourism attractions, services and programs, thereby providing economic benefits to the area.

 

Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority

Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority (TRSWA) was established in 1992 as a regional solid waste management agency to promote good environmental stewardship, fiscal responsibility, local government problem solving and regional cooperation. The Authority’s mission is to supplement local government solid waste management services to promote efficient and environmentally responsible waste handling and disposal while not supplanting local control and authority. The nine-county region consists of Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Edgefield, McCormick, Orangeburg, and Saluda Counties.

 

Tri-County Commission on Alcohol & Drug Abuse

The Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse is an office of health, information and services for behavioral health issues. We seek to maximize individual health through education, community outreach and service provision for the citizens of Orangeburg, Bamberg and Calhoun counties.
