Department Functions

To oversee the daily operations of Bamberg County Building/Planning Department. Provide pre-construction plans review. We issue building, renovation, electrical, mechanical, house moving, and manufactured home permits. We also conduct inspections on construction and manufactured home installations. This department conducts all inspections in the unincorporated area's within the local municipalities. This department also enforces the county's Flood Plain Ordinance, Nuisance Property Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, and Land Development Regulations within the county.
