Bamberg County Office on Aging provides services to seniors 60+ to help them remain independent, in their own home environment and be able to make decisions that affect their lives.
A hot nutritionally balanced meal is provided, five days a week to homebound clients or at the Rhoads' Senior Center in a stimulating group setting where exercise, crafts, devotionals, music, and nutrition and health education programs are shared.
Home Living Support Program is provided to those needing light housekeeping.
Medicaid Transportation for non-emergency service to medical appointments for eligible participants are provided with a 3-day notice by calling 1-866-445-6860.
A local transportation Program, Handy Ride, provides access to non-Medicaid medical appointments, shopping, etc, by calling Brad Mole toll free 1-866-271-2996. A $2.00 fee is charged for every 10 miles ridden. Tickets are available at the Bamberg County Office on Aging.
