Hours of Operation: 24 hours/7days

Department Functions:

To receive 911 emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch emergency responders (Police, Fire and Medical) to various locations as requested by the citizens.

We are the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Bamberg County. We provide services for:

• Bamberg County Sheriffs Office
• 5 municipal police agencies
• 9 Fire Departments
• Bamberg County Rescue Squad, Inc.

Other functions include but are not limited to:

1. Maintaining accurate communications records using various computers.

2. Providing 24 hour support for various departments such as:

• Social Services
• Juvenile Justice
• Department of Natural Resources
• Animal Control
• Forestry Commission
• Board of Public Works
• State Department of Transportation
• Highway Patrol
• Litter Control
• Town of Denmark Water Department
• Emergency Management
• Bamberg Rescue Squad, Inc.
• SLED
• Coroner
• Other agencies
