DETENTION OFFICERS

(FULL-TIME)

Bamberg County Detention Center

Applications are being accepted in the Personnel Office, Bamberg County Courthouse, for the position of DETENTION OFFICERS for Bamberg County Detention Center. Qualified applicants must possess a valid S.C. Driver's License, High School Diploma, No Criminal Record, 21 years of age and have a home telephone. A medical examination is required for employment. Applications are being accepted now until 5:00 p.m. The person hired will be required to become certified by the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy. The Officer will be required to work different shifts and on weekends BAMBERG COUNTY IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER

Department Functions

The Human Resources Department is a part of Bamberg County Administration and is charged with oversight of personnel activities for the County.

Support Services:

  • Receiving, processing and screening of job applications
  • Assist County Departments in the hiring of qualified employees
  • Develop and update position and classifications and descriptions
  • County compensation and benefit programs
  • Develop, revise, and assure compliance with Bamberg County Personnel Policies
  • Compliance with State and Federal regulations pertaining to employment
